How I managed to make a lot of money, around $650, since last Thursday. Yes, Thursday April 9th. It hasn’t even been a week yet! Basically, last Thursday I went to get my tattoo priced by a new artist. The last artist I went to was going to charge me over $1,300 for my sidepiece. Ridiculous right? So the new artist tells me he can do it for $800. Still seemed a little steep but it was the best price that I found after shopping around. So I put down a $50 deposit and made my appointment for June 11th. I only had $120 in savings so I started stressing how I was going to make that much money by June 11th, especially because my job had just cut hours and I was basically just on-call.

So after going back and forth in my closet to see what I could possibly sell and by hitting up a few friends and seeing if they needed websites done, etc – I managed to make a good portion of the money. I emailed the guy to see how much of a discount he’d give me if I paid in advance and he told me that he would accept $650. I woke up this morning, checked my paypal and saw a nice chunk of change. I really didn’t expect to have this much money this soon. I really have no excuse to talk about how broke I am all the time.

Since that one goal has basically been met, provided my friend gives me his 150 this weekend so I can pay the guy on Tuesday, now I just have to continue gyming, dieting, and slimming down until June 11 (and beyond that but I know I won’t be in the gym while its healing). Not to mention, I have some friends that own their own salon and I will be FINALLY getting my hair done this weekend and I definitely need it .. more than anything. Things are definitely looking up, not to mention the fact that instead of taking 150 for my car payment this month, my dad is going to only ask me for $80 because of my “financial situation” .. no – he doesn’t know that I’m giving someone $650 on tuesday lol. I’m pretty sure I’ll have the 100 or so to give the guy bread for the tip but its not until June so no big deal…

Another edit: I don’t NEED another tattoo, but I want one and have for a long time. I don’t have any needs that aren’t being fulfilled already. I don’t pay rent or really any bills. I make half a car payment, a gym payment, and I put gas in my car – thats generally about it. Usually if I have anything other than $200 in the bank – I’ll probably be somewhere shopping but I actually wanted to save for something and I’m happy about that =)
